Label Mania

I hope you had a great weekend! I know I did! Over the weekend my little family loaded up and went to Ikea! We don't live close enough to one that we can just go anytime we want, so we made a mini vacation out of it! Yay!

I love Ikea!  It is amazing! While shopping I found some cute little spice jars! (I foud a lot more stuff but we'll save that for a later time!) After I filled them with the spices.... I started labeling them!   It was actually harder than I expected because the small letters seemed to be a bit tedious.  In the end I'm pretty happy with them! I just need a few more!  You can never have too many spices right?

Fun Fab Frames

After my daughter received a super cute birthday frame from her Mimi for her first birthday(there will be a  few post coming soon about her first birthday extravaganza), I was inspired to make a few of my own.   Here are the first three I have completed. 

This one is just waiting for a photo from our first beach vacation as a family of three, earlier this summer!

This is my favorite one so far! I LOVE this picture of our little angel and her daddy looking at the rhino!

I made this one specifically for Mo's Best Friend Lilly's first birthday! The picture is of their first meeting... the day Lilly was born! How awesome is that?

I can't wait to get started on some more!

Recycling Center Made Easy...

I found these great and inexpensive recycling bins at Ikea a few months ago.  They were exactly what I had been looking for and less than I expected to pay! That doesn't happen very often! 

  I had planned to make labels for them using my handy Cricut Express machine.So finally after my husbands request for labels, I did it! My husband usually makes fun of my love for labels.  I knew one day he would learn to love and appreciate them as much as I do!  Well ... he at least can at this point see the occasional benefit!    

I think they definitely look cuter!  I also think I'm feeling a labeling addiction coming on!

Semi Homemade Shade

OK so I have been wanting a curtain in my half bath for a long time. I finally just bought one at Target. I got the cheapest one they had in this style. It still wasn't exactly what I wanted so a roll of seem-bond, an iron, fabulous ribbon and a little bit of time later... whola! Instant style in several times forgotten 1/2 bath. I'm planning to use the same ribbon and so coordinating ones on some towels for his room too! I'll keep you updated!

Getting Started

Getting started with anything is usually very puzzling to me. I almost always know how I want the end result to be, but very rarely do I know how I want to get going. So.... I'll just jump right in!

Shall I begin with ... cloth diapers, gushing about my family, crafty little ideas, using green cleaners, decorating or party planning.... or .... well i guess I don't really have to pick since this rant is apparently going to be my first post! hehe!

The next one will be better! I promise!
